Privacy

Privacy statement.

QHSE Ltd collects personal information only to respond to enquiries and to do the work clients ask for. This statement explains what is collected, why, where it goes and how to see or correct it, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.

Who is collecting your information

QHSE Ltd (NZBN 9429047055100), a New Zealand company based in Palmerston North, led by Rob Feasey. Contact for anything in this statement: rob@qhse.co.nz or 022 454 4445.

What is collected through this website

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message, and optionally your phone number and organisation. That is all the website collects about you. The site uses no analytics cookies and no advertising trackers. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's request for the font files in the ordinary way.

Why it is collected and how it is used

To reply to your enquiry, to arrange a call if you want one, and to keep a record of the conversation if it leads to work. Your details are used for that purpose and for the work you engage QHSE to do. QHSE sends marketing only to people who have asked for it.

Where it goes

Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to rob@qhse.co.nz by Web3Forms, a form delivery service whose servers are outside New Zealand. Web3Forms passes the message on and keeps it only as long as needed to deliver it. From there your information is held in QHSE Ltd's own email and file systems, which use Microsoft 365. QHSE shares personal information with other parties only with your agreement or where the law requires it.

Information collected during client work

Assessments, audits, investigations and training involve talking to people in the client organisation. What people say is used for the purpose of that engagement and reported to the client in the form agreed at scoping. Interviews are reported by group, with particular care where a group is small. Working notes are kept securely and retained for as long as professional and legal obligations require, then destroyed.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that lead nowhere are deleted within twelve months. Records of client work are kept for seven years to meet professional, insurance and tax obligations, then destroyed.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information QHSE Ltd holds about you and ask for it to be corrected. Email rob@qhse.co.nz and you will have a reply within twenty working days, usually much sooner. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
